WayAround®

WayAround® is now available at Blind Service Chicago! Those with vision loss may feel overwhelmed when entering a new or unfamiliar space. WayAround® brings ADA signage and true accessibility into the 21st Century, making it easier to navigate surroundings.

With the tap of a smartphone, clients and visitors will have on-demand access to a wealth of valuable information, including descriptions of our offices, reading and meeting rooms, the Bernstein Center, elevators, restrooms, and more. WayAround®’s location notifications send an alert when nearing our building. The notification will open an accessible directory of all the spaces within the BSC suite. Once a client has arrived at our office, all they need to do is tap their iPhone or Android device to any WayAround® sign (located beneath the ADA signs) to access information about that specific location or item.

One of the most exciting features of WayAround® is the ability to access our diverse art collection. Curated to represent a variety of artists and styles, the collection also includes an audible description describing each work.  Be sure to download the free WayAround® app for iOS or Android. WayAround® works with iPhone and Android devices as well as the BlindShell Classic 2.
