100-Year Anniversary Celebration

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, BSC will celebrate our 100th Anniversary with a Winter Gala! Long-time supporters, clients, and new friends will gather at Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall at 231 S. LaSalle Street. Built in 1924 and fully renovated in 2015, the historic space is among some of the most architecturally significant buildings in the Midwest. Guests will enjoy cocktails, a sumptuous meal, music, and a sparkling evening bedecked with holiday magic and décor. This truly special event will be an opportunity to come together to honor our past, support our mission to inspire and empower those in the blind community, and look forward to the next 100 years.

Check back often this fall for more details!

Annual Meeting

BSC’s Annual Meeting, held each June, is a formal gathering of the Board of Directors that serves several purposes:

  • Election and investiture of Officers and Directors
  • Review of Financials
  • Summary of Recent Accomplishments
  • Affirmation of our Misson, Vision, and Core Values
  • Presentation of Scholarship Awards

Traditionally, the event is held at The Cliff Dwellers on Michigan Avenue and includes a luncheon and keynote speaker. As space is limited, the Meeting is by invitation only.
